We have 7 black angus going to market this Fall/Winter.
WE CURRENTLY HAVE INDIVIDUAL CUTS OF BEEF FOR SALE HERE IN THE STORE, SATURDAYS FROM 10-6. STEAKS, ROASTS, STEW MEAT, GROUND BEEF, HAMBURGER PATTIES, LIVER, etc...
Our farm is primarily a dairy farm, but we also grow a variety of apples, vegetables, chickens, turkeys, ducks, pigs, beef cattle, etc...
Our "beefers" are born naturally on pasture, and drink milk from their mothers for several months. They have free reign of the pastures to graze, and they get all the weeds and any less-than-perfect produce from the gardens along the front pasture. In the winter they eat hay, peas, beans, corn, and corn silage. Our black angus beef all have phenomenal marbling at market time. A lifetime of fresh pasture grasses produces more omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids than a purely corn-fed, feed lot steer.
It’s important to us that all of our animals are not only healthy and comfortable, but also happy. They're bred and born for this purpose, and we see it as our purpose to make their lives the best they can be. They run and play with each other, and when they see one of us walking to the gardens they line up for treats -- their daily ration of weeds and any ugly fruits and veggies. They are friendly, docile animals that came into this world to be cared for, respected, and appreciated.
It is our ultimate hope that our beef makes its way to people who appreciate the difference. People who value responsible farming practices just as much as they desire meat better than an steakhouse could make you.
NOTE: Your deposit secures the next spot on our list. Deposits not refundable but they are transferrable (you may gift or sell them to whomever you like -- most people choose to share with another family.) We generally have a couple steers ready for market every month, but let us know when you'll have freezer space and we can try to get our market dates lined up accordingly.
