Unfortunately we will be closed this weekend (Nov 7-8).

I was notified that members of my family have tested positive for COVID. They have mild symptoms. I feel good, but I’m remaining cautious and considerate of others by isolating in adherence with CDC and County guidelines. I’m very bummed that we won’t get to wear our Halloween costumes here on the farm this year. I was going to be a chicken. The costume had tights.

Wait times for testing and results are extended due to the spread of the virus in our area, so I’m not able confirm a negative test for myself as quickly as I would like. I am planning on re-opening the weekend of November 14th. I will keep everyone updated and remain transparent for your peace of mind.

Since March, I’ve been doing everything in my power to ensure Poco Pizza is a trusted option for safe, local food. All I care about is keeping you all safe and well fed. To do this for the last 8 months, I’ve kept my bubble to only 6 people. I live where I work, so I’ve stayed put. I’ve only been inside a grocery store once since March. And I feel like by now I must have purchased my way onto the executive board of the Clorox company. I transformed my business and how I interact with all of you, and I will continue to prioritize your health and safety above all.

Thank you all, too, for the sacrifices you’ve made this year. Many of us understand that right now our health isn’t our own. In a pandemic, our personal health impacts the wellbeing of those around us. Yes, it’s exhausting, but it’s also been uplifting to see so many of you show compassion toward one another during this time. Please keep watching out for one another, and I’ll keep watching out for you.

    Stay healthy and stay kind.

    Keep rolling with the punches.

    Much love,

    Shawn
