40% locally grown and milled rye from Meuer Farm in Chilton, WI.
Named and inspired by Grandma Violet, who made a mean darker version. There is no other bread better to accompany a bowl of soup, a Friday Fish Fry, or a wickedly awesome grilled cheese. Also cannibal sandwiches - but for some reason that's a holiday delicacy in my home. In any event, this is a full flavored, old world bread that you'll adore.
