Nobody spoke English, and my Italian is 'non bene', so it took until halfway through the meal before I fully figured out what I was eating. It was mortadella. Mortadella is one of the most common deli meats across southern Italy, and it's one of their most beloved pizza toppings. I try to throw it on a pizza here one or two times a year. Because I'm trying to get y'all to appreciate the magic of mortadella.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI pair it here with some fresh stracciatella cheese made with milk from our farm (thank you Belgioioso!).
