FRESH PLUM COMPOTE
BRANDY & GINGER LACED CREAM CHEESE
BROWN SUGAR OAT CRUMBLE
WOOD FIRED CRUST
Our plums were finally ready this week! I was under a time crunch, so my Nieces and Nephews picked them all with their Grandpa. Mom and Dad always told me that child labor builds character, so it's sort of like I was doing them a favor. The plums are so sweet that I didn't have to add much sugar to this at all. I adore plum and ginger together, and plum and brandy together, so I laced some cream cheese with both fresh ginger and a sweet brandy syrup I made after cooking off all the alcohol. (I did not use ginger brandy though because that makes me think of some poor choices I made while on a budget in college -- I donated plasma to pay for alcohol and it didn't pay well so I bought what I could. Don't judge me!). I made a buttery brown sugar oat topping for this. Plums are so underrated and by far one of my most favorite fruits when they're perfectly ripe. I hope you love this!
